"By masterfully weaving the experience of professional actors together with the raw talent of young budding performers, in writing that risks antagonism for its authenticity and emotional honesty, Mayhem undoubtedly works!"

The Mayhem Company’s Annual Production – be part of it! We produce at least one major piece of work a year that is developed through a process or devising, improvisation and script writing with a professional writer. The core company is made up of young people between the ages of 16 and 25.
Casting process: Working with a professional casting director, short-listed actors are invited to attend an audition/workshop with company members where they will undertake a selection of improvisation and text based work followed by an informal talk. Once cast, rehearsals and pre-production are undertaken as with any professional production working with set, costume, light and sound designers to produce high quality work that engages and challenges actors and audience alike.

Previous work includes: Elephant 21 - Time Out Critic's Choice **** (Unit 215, Royal Court Theatre Local 2010), Real Life Sex Makes Baby (Royal Festival Hall), The Butterfly Club (Southwark Playhouse 2008, and published by Methuen Autumn 2010). See You Tomorrow (Southwark Playhouse 2008) and Deluxe (Southwark Playhouse 2007).
The company are currently developing their next piece of work Big Britain Boxing at Spirit Level, Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre.
Professional actors who work with Mayhem are paid Equity rates in accordance with the venue and duration of performance.
